Creating a plan is one thing – but it is important to be able to share it with others in a way that organizes your thinking for others to understand. It is a different level of consideration to present your thinking for others to see who you are in terms of your skills, strengths, interests and values, how those are leading you to graduation as well to explain so they can see the thoughtfulness of your short term goals and long term plans.
Your presentation is meant to show how you have thoughtfully examined what is next for you after graduation, how you are prepared to pursue education, career, interests and financial stability.
Recording both audio and visual of your presentation will allow you a chance to not only receive feedback from a wider audience but to also self-reflect and grow in you both your presentation style and the manner in which you present yourself.
Collaborate with your friends for practice and recording. Find a video camera, school librarians have a few, find a computer with a webcam and microphone or even use your phone. There are a variety of recording softwares and you can even use Microsoft Office 10 One Note to record video and audio.
Upload the finished video to SchoolTube and send your teacher the link (URL) or bring your presentation in on a thumbdrive.
